It was a quiet, overcast holiday weekend here in Winchester. We decided to play it mellow and take a nice river walk. After sleeping in late, we then decided to take a walk along the river to work up an appetite. We were then attacked by wild ducks. They looked innocent floating on the water but once they take flight they are like attacking bald eagles. We got a picture of this one preparing for attack.
After some quick thinking on my part (mostly consisting of a patented crouch, cover, and scream for help technique) we saw some more absolutely beautiful Winchester countryside. Old English churches, swans, and just excellent scenery.
And now that spring is finally here, the trees are starting to come to life again.
