Day 114: Madrid, Spain/London, England

My last day in Madrid!! Frank had to physically remove me from the hotel room and force me to pack my bags this morning...

Here was my last glimpse of Madrid before getting on the metro at Puerta del Sol to head to the airport:

We got bored waiting for our flight to London, so Frank set up a timer picture of the two of us waiting at the gate:

We had a quick and uneventful 2 hour flight to London and got a good shot of the city and the Thames from the airplane as we landed:

After the usual long wait to get through passport control at Heathrow, we took the tube to Archana and Richard's apartment where we were united with our April travel buddies! Here is a photo of me outside their building:

We met up with Archana's sister, Uma, andd Uma's boyfriend Andrew for a fantastic dinner at a place called Canteen near Spitalfield Market, which had really good English food. Here is the girl side of the table:

Being back in London, which we know fairly well, is a perfect way to end the trip. We feel very relaxed and don't feel pressure to go sightseeing. Also, we are being extremely well looked after by our extremely generous hosts!

Our flight this morning was the last leg of our Round the World ticket with the Oneworld Alliance so that portion of our trip is officially over. Now just a few more days relaxing in England before we head home!
