The other main activity for me for today was that I made major progress on my learning to drive a manual car. Frank gave me a lesson yesterday, and today I drove home from town with my dad (who was a bit nervous but handled it well!). I'm not quite ready to take to the open road, but at least I am capable of getting from A to B without injuring myself or anyone else.
For dinner, we bought ice cream at the local supermarket and ordered pizzas and salads from a take-out place in town, and had an excellent rainy day, last night meal before everyone had to pack their suitcases.
This week has really flown by! We are very sorry to have to pack up and go our separate ways tomorrow. It's been a fantastic week, and I'm going to be sad to have to say goodbye to my family again - although I'll be seeing them again very soon! (I can't believe it's Day 100 of the trip!!!!)
A big thank you is in order to my parents who once again have outdone themselves in finding a fabulously beautiful location for our annual family trip.
Here is one quick photo of the rainy view from the covered dining area:
Tomorrow we head to Carcassonne for one night before going back to Spain for the rest of the month. We are going to miss the luxury of 7 nights in one place, with a handy washer and dryer on hand for laundry.
Only 19 more days until we're back in NY!
