Day 46: Seoul, South Korea

Today was mostly a travel day as we journeyed from Singapore to Seoul via Hong Kong. Each flight was only 3 hours but with a 3 hour lay-over and some flight delays, we didn't land in Seoul until about 7:30pm. My cousin Brittany, who is living in Seoul and teaching English here, very generously came all the way to the airport to meet us and guide us to our hotel.

We are staying in an area called Sinchon which seems like a very happening place. Here is a photo of the streets as we walked to dinner nearby.

We had Korean BBQ for dinner where we were joined by two of Britt's friends - Peter and Debbie. After a fabulous dinner, we went to another place and had an alcoholic fermented rice drink that I can't remember the name of.

Here is the group (left to right: Debbie, Peter, Frank, me, Britt):

The group got along so well (Peter and Frank bonded over a mutual love of computers) that we were out until 2:30am - our latest night yet on this trip! :-) We're getting old...

We are excited to explore Seoul further! So far we love it and are having a fantastic time. It's so good to see my cousin, whom I have not seen in a while since she has been living here for the past year.

More adventures tomorrow...
